Shamandoora Rug was inspired by the colorful Nubian villages along the River Nile banks. This rug reflects the beauty of architecture and design of Nubian art. Various shades of blue were used to represent the gentle flow of the river while the triangular pattern pays homage to the signature designs found in Nubian houses. This rug’s design is the first in a series of handcrafted designs inspired by the Nubian Villages of Aswan.
